Mixed Metal Collage and Cold Connections--Thursday, October 14
Have you ever wondered what to do with your scrap pieces of metal?  We will learn to re-purpose scrap metal, and how to embellish it with rich and interesting textures. Class projects will be completed using sterling silver, brass, bronze, and copper. 

You can expect to complete two pendants or one pendant and a pair of earrings during this class.  In the process, we will explore:
  • Essential elements of design that will add interest to all your work
  • Advanced hammering, stamping, and chasing techniques
  • Cold connections and assembling metal collage pieces
  • Corrugation techniques
  • Heat patinas
Instructor:  Patti Bullard
Time:  10:00 to 4:00 (please plan to stay a little later if additional time is needed)
Requirements:  Must be 18 years old or older
Lunch:  We will provide a light lunch or you may bring your own.  We will supply plenty of soft drinks, bottled water, and gourmet coffees.
Class Fee:  $125.00 (includes all supplies needed to complete class projects)

Students are welcome to bring their own basic metal-working tools if desired.  However, WUB will provide all materials and tools necessary for use during class, so you may just prefer to "travel light" and let us take care of everything for you.  Please call us at 817-421-3030 if you have any questions.
